Title: A Dynamical Aspect of D-finite Power Series

Abstract: In this work, we introduce a class of sequences, so-called dynamical sequences, which are defined by rational dynamical systems over algebraic varieties. Many classical sequences from number theory and algebraic combinatorics fall under this dynamical framework. For a dynamical sequence a(n), we show that the set of n for which a(n) is in a finitely generated group is a finite union of arithmetic progressions along with a set of zero Banach density. This result generalizes the classical Skolem-Mahler-Lech theorem for sequences satisfying linear recurrence relations. We apply this dynamical approach to prove a rationality theorem on D-finite power series.

Bio: 陳紹示, 現為中國科學院數學與系統科學研究院副研究員, 博士生導師。主要研究符號計算，計算微分代數與組合數學。2011年中國科學院與法國巴黎綜合理工學校聯合培養博士畢業，曾先后在奧地利 Linz 大學符號計算研究所、美國北卡羅來納州立大學、加拿大菲爾茲數學研究所與滑鐵盧符號計算研究組從事博士后工作。 2013年回國到中科院數學與系統科學研究院系統所工作，2017年晉升為副研究員。 先后主持國家自然科學青年基金與面上基金. 在符號計算領域旗艦會議 ISSAC 發表論文14篇，以及 Journal of Symbolic Computation，Journal of Algebra, 和 Journal of Combinatorial theory, Series A 等期刊發表論文 10 余篇。目前擔任組合領域國際期刊《Annals of Combinatorics》, 國際符號與代數計算專業委員會《ACM Communications in Computer Algebra》，《Journal of Systems Science and Complexity》和《系統科學與數學》等雜志編委。 2019年開始擔任國際符號與代數計算年會 ISSAC 指導委員成員.曾獲得 “ISSAC2014 杰出海報獎”，中國科學院數學與系統科學研究院“2014 年突出科研成果獎”, “2018年度重要科研進展獎”與第二屆 "吳文俊計算機數學青年學者獎"。入選中國科學院第七屆“陳景潤未來之星”人才計劃和中國科學院2018年度青年創新促進會會員。
